After earning a M.Sc. and a Ph.D in geology and geochemistry from the Colorado School of Mines in 1993 and 1996, respectively, Dr. Quinton Hennigh began his exploration career working for large gold mining companies including Homestake Mining Company, Newcrest Mining Ltd and Newmont Mining Corp. where he managed exploration projects in North America, South America and Australia. In 2007, he joined the junior gold sector where he has held executive, directorship and advisory roles with several exploration companies including Gold Canyon Resources where he oversaw exploration and discovery of the 5 million oz Springpole alkaline gold deposit near Red Lake, Ontario. In 2010, he established Novo Resources Corporation, an exploration company focused on searching for gold-bearing conglomerates in the Pilbara region, Western Australia. Starting at a conceptual level, his work at Novo has led to the discovery of two large gold deposits, Karratha in the West Pilbara and Beaton’s Creek in the East Pilbara.
